A new mental health campaign called ‘Helping others’ has been launched by the Public Health Agency in partnership with NIAMH.
The campaign is part of a wider programme of work in schools and work places to help reduce stigma around mental health and has been partly funded by Comic Relief.
Phase 2 of the campaign introduces a TV advert called ‘Life-changing’ which encourages the public to reach out and support someone they know who may be experiencing problems with their mental health.
Asking, listening and talking to someone with a mental health problem can be the start of their road to recovery. Just a few little words can make a massive difference to someone who may need help.
